Smiling is a universal language. When we smile it's contagious and causes another person to feel comfortable and disarmed when in the presence of people they may not know. Teaching our children to smile also teaches them to be positive. Positive attitudes attract good things. Negativity ceases to perpetuate when one doesn't acknowledge or ponder on it. Our kids should be taught how to smile and how being positive motivates others and builds strong character.
A happy person is happy because they want to be. It's a choice because life has it ups and downs but how we respond will impact us tremendously. Let's teach our children about the impact a smile can have on the world!
What do you think? Is smiling a skill that kids should be deliberately taught?
